What Is An Angel?
61What are heavenly angels and when did they first exist?
For Christians and most other religious cultures and traditions, heavenly angels have
been believed to exist since the beginning of time and creation. The most common concept of angels is that they are spiritual beings who live in a dimension, or plane of existence, commonly known as "Heaven." However, they commonly interact with humans in many ways. They often play roles as messengers or solders for God for the good of humankind.
It is commonly believed that the langage of God is a language of light -- an energy frequency that is extremely powerful. In fact, it is so powerful that it can be harmful to human beings unless it is transmitted through an intermediary.
Angels are able to perform that task, as "go-between" between God and humans. They are able to receive the messages from God and then transmit them to humans in ways that will not "blow out their circuits," so to speak, energetically.
There are at least 30 types of heavenly angels commonly known to man, especially from several traditional religions aside from Christianity.
Those who have studied the subject of angels to a great extent have been able to separate them into categories of varying types. They have arranged these categories of different spiritual levels of angels into a hierarchy, as follows:
- Archangels
- Principalities
- Seraphim
- Powers
- Dominions
- Cherubims
This is because each category of angel exists and performs at various frequencies. Each type of angel can convey messages to
the different types humans who are of corresponding energy frequencies.
Some angel enthusiasts believe that they also have different levels of spiritual mastery. Another group of angel followers claims -- based on documentary and alleged historical data -- that no more than 30% of heavenly angels that exist have wings, as commonly depicted in many works of art and popular descriptions, while the other 70% do not actually have wings at all.
What is interesting is that the 30%
of heavenly angels that DO have wings are believed to be of the lowest
orders of angels. They are also believed to be the ones who most
commonly communicate with human beings to either deliver messages or
give warnings from God.
Meanwhile, some traditional philosophers
and scholars believe that heavenly angels communicate to people
regarding worldly matters, but do not necessarily make themselves
visible to everyone on earth. They also believe that while angels have
often provided guidance and have made their presence felt in many
people, they basically do not function as guardian angels, as is
popularly believed.
Can humans see heavenly angels?
Many
spiritual researchers claim that since heavenly angels are subtle
spiritual beings that take on their existence in spirit form, they are
not normally visible to the ordinary
human eye.
They claim
that angels can only be seen with the help of advanced and activated
extra-sensory perception (ESP) and that the manner by which angels
communicate with humans is through the introduction of thoughts and
concepts in the human mind.
Although we have these ideas about
what heavenly angels are all about, it will still be considered a
diverse school of thought and will remain a mystery.
